More Snow

Here are a few pics from the frozen north. We had another 5"-7" of snow fall over the weekend and the banks are now so tall that you can't see over them. Brandon took a few pictures out in front of the townhouse.

With all the snow we decided to take Jackson to one of the counties sledding hills and he had a blast! He even went down a few of the smaller hills by himself, which he thought was too cool. He didn't want to come home until we promised him that he could help daddy shovel. This is one of his new favorite things to do.

After shoveling they came in to warm up a bit and have some lunch then it was back out into the snow. The community center was having a winter festival and we promised Jackson that he could see a coupleof Santa's reindeer. Turns out they also were giving horse and carriage rides. We didn't go for a ride because it was a bit cold and closing in on nap time. But we did get to say hello to the horses.

Let it Snow!

I forgot how beautiful the snow was. We have big, beautiful snowflakes that just keep coming down and we are LOVING it! It definitely feels like Christmas and Jackson is having so much fun playing in it. We've been sledding, built a snowman, made snow angels, threw snowballs, shoveled the sidewalk and watched the snow plow and tractors go by. He loves being out in it and we are actually enjoying it too. I'm sure that feeling will go away but for now we're having fun.

Our first snow storm

We had our first winter storm yesterday and now have about 6" of snow! Jackson wasn't to crazy about it last night but it was pretty windy and the snow was also mixed with sleet and freezing rain. Ouch! This morning he wanted to go help daddy shovel and had a lot more fun doing that and watching the snow plows. He was so bundled up that he kinda waddled instead of walked in his snowsuit, it was too cute!

Nana and Papa Barnett came in for the weekend and we went out before the storm to cut down our Christmas tree. It was a lot of fun! We walked thru what felt like a hundred of trees before Brandon found the perfect one. Then he and papa cut it down and drug it back to the barn where we had hot apple cider while the tree was wrapped. They tied it to the roof and we took it home and spent the rest of the afternoon decorating it, watching football and watching the snow fall. It was a great day.
